The scoring rubric stopped a bad automation in my team within two weeks of finishing.
Process Discovery Blueprint
How to choose what to automate before you write a single workflow — interviews, mining, scoring.
A practical course for analysts and developers tired of automating the wrong process. We work through three real-shaped case studies: a finance back-office, a customer onboarding queue, and an HR ticketing flow. You will run interviews, build PDDs, and score candidates against a transparent rubric you will keep using long after the course.
What is in this course
- A 12-question discovery interview script you can re-use
- Process Definition Document template with reviewer comments
- Candidate scoring rubric balancing volume, variation, and stability
- Case study: an HR ticketing queue, end-to-end
- Peer review on each other's PDDs in week 4
Outcomes you should expect
- Run a 30-minute discovery interview that surfaces real exceptions
- Author a PDD a developer can build from without follow-up calls
- Score five candidate processes and defend your top pick

Common questions
No, and many of our learners never write a bot themselves. The course is most useful for analysts, BAs, and CoE leads who scope work for developers.
Mostly yes. The interview script and PDD template adapt well to any cross-org workflow scoping work, including low-code.
No. There is one optional walk-through of how a PDD turns into a UiPath workflow, but you can skip it without losing anything.
Voices from past cohorts
I came in skeptical about the 12-question script — left using it on every intake call.
Peer review week was uncomfortable, in a good way. I rewrote my PDD twice and it was finally readable.
